WIDE began with a simple problem: life can become smaller when movement becomes difficult.
The work led to a broader question — what makes a person's movement possibilities expand, narrow, persist or return?
WIDE is the umbrella.
WIDE is the public idea and developing system. Movement and rehabilitation are one application. Music and performance are another. The common thread is not a diagnosis or a body part. It is what movement makes possible for this person.
Why the company name is narrower.
The legal entity is WIDE Rehab Evidence Ltd. WIDE grew from rehabilitation work, but the public scope has developed beyond rehabilitation alone. The company name therefore appears where legally useful without defining the limits of WIDE.
What WIDE tries not to become.
WIDE is not built around one ideal movement, a generic posture score or a dashboard full of measurements. It aims to keep the person, the meaningful activity and changing possibility at the centre.
WIDE makes more of life available.
